Called “the best chamber music reason to get out of the house” by the Los Angeles Times, “a very serious group of fine artists…both innovative and intrepid” by London’s Daily Telegraph, and a “miracle of modern artistic organisation” by The Irish Times, Camerata Pacifica is one of America’s leading chamber music ensembles. Founded in 1990 by Artistic Director and flautist Adrian Spence, the West Coast-based group has garnered international acclaim for its musicality, programming, and innovative approach to chamber music presentation. Set apart from other chamber music organizations by its mission: to positively affect how people experience live classical music, season programming revolves around a core group of outstanding chamber players drawn from around the world. Subscription residencies are presented in four Southern California cities: Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Pasadena and Thousand Oaks.
