Happy New Year (20+25)×(20+25). For the first half of this year I unfortunately won't have much time to work on long form videos (I might try and make one!), but after that I should have some time to work on more videos; nothing's certain but we'll see what happens.
P.S I need to find a name for the characters in my videos, open to suggestions!
Check out @PurpleMindCS , he makes a series where he proposes a problem and then asks for viewers to submit solutions which all go together in a final video. The newest video is absolutely phenomenal and if for some reason you watch my channel but don't watch his, make sure to have a look.
The results of this year's community run Summer of Math Exposition (or SoMEpi) were just announced and we came 5th out of over 200 entries. Thanks to everyone who voted and congratulations to everyone who participated.
I've been experimenting with YouTube Shorts over the past few months. So far all the shorts I've made have been condensed versions of the long-form content and I'd like to ask for some audience input.
I just was curious whether people have enjoyed these shorts and for the minority of you who found my channel via shorts, did the shorts persuade you into watching the long-form content.
I also wanted to know whether people would want shorts which are completely separate from the long-form content, perhaps on topics which don't warrant a full video. Shorts don't require much effort from me to make so this would have minimal impact of long-form video upload frequency.
I'm just trying to gauge the general efficacy of using shorts to bring people into watching my long-form videos which at the end of the day is where the majority of my attention is devoted so feel free to comment and let me know your opinions.
It's been over a month since my last upload after taking a short break for school, but don't worry I am back to working on videos. I just completed a video about the fundamental theorem of arithmetic which should be uploaded within the next few days.
I'll refrain from giving anything else away about the video other than it's my entry for this year's community run summer of math exposition. Apart from that, I hope you enjoy the video once it's up!
Considering we work in base-10, the milestone of 5000 subscribers is given more significance than say 2401th subscriber milestone (which is 10,000 in base-7). Despite that I should probably accept that we work in base-10 and hence I'd just like to say, thank you!
At this point in the channel, I think there are enough viewers and potential viewers that I am opening a discord server for members of the community to join and discuss maths. Currently it's fairly basic but it would be a perfect place to discuss any topics, exercises or follow-up questions from the videos.
Moving forwards with the channel, if people are interested, I may consider adding channel memberships which may contain perks like early video access, animation tutorials / help, updates on where I am with videos and members only channels in the discord server (although this isn't anything final).
I just completely refreshed the entire channel's aesthetic with a new banner and profile picture. I think it much better matches the style of animations I want to continue providing and hopefully this one will be here to stay. I'd love your opinions

How would you imagine a cuboid whose side lengths are -0.239 + 1.628i, -0.239 - 1.628i and 1.477?
