Elle & Toni
Elle and Toni are indie folk musicians who write and cover americana, folk, traditional folk, and folk rock music. Elle started this channel in 2007, sharing original songs and pop covers. 2011 she began collaborating with Toni Lindgren, who is the lead guitarist on all four of the studio albums released by the duo under the former Reina del Cid moniker. In 2025 the duo launched a new series called Full Moon Tunes where they post a song on each full moon. Their previous video series "Sunday Mornings with Reina del Cid" ran from 2014 to 2024 and featured a rotating cast of bandmates, special guests, and occasional random bystanders. Sadly, our cover of Hotel California by The Eagles was removed from YouTube and our channel was issued a copyright strike by Universal Music Group. We knew this was a possibility when we set out to cover a song by The Eagles, and we are grateful that we had a chance to share our tribute of that brilliant song with you at least for the brief two months that it was up. We put a lot of love and care into that video and we were blown away by your positive reactions to it while it was on our channel, and I’m very grateful we got to share it with you for at least a while.

Well, we're on our 4th day in Japan and so far we've gotten lost in the train station, stood on the roof of one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo, had the best ramen of our modest ramen-tasting careers, and faced our fear of crowded spaces by joining the throng at the busiest pedestrian crossing in the ENTIRE WORLD. (Okay, it's just me who has that fear, but I'm glad Toni convinced me to come along.) Now we're off to Nagano for a few days --over my birthday!-- then Kyoto and Osaka. Honestly I wish I had a whole month here. It's such an incredible culture and the people have been so kind to us.
We're going to be recording a Sunday morning video or two while we're here, but if you'd like to see some behind-the-scenes travel footage from our adventures here so far, I just posted a vlog over on Patreon. Check it out!
