There’s a language that almost everyone speaks. A language that can be understood without words, that doesn’t tell facts or asks questions. This language is music, and also the road we choose to embark on. This is how the idea for Borders of Byzantium was born.
After discussing the basic image and concept of the band, the idea came into life. Creative work then commenced, and soon the first single ’Carousel’ was released along with its music video.

The band name was inspired by the Byzantine Empire’s varied nature, which symbolises our genre-bending musical style. We are persistently working on delivering a unique and exciting sound that can’t be mistaken. Starting our journey from the middle of Europe, our dreams are no smaller than to travel around the world and share our vision through the power of music.
