Capitol Reef National Park was my 40th National Park visited, and it did not disappoint! We nearly had the place to ourselves, with its gorgeous orchards and towering rock formations.

With this being John Denver's first national park, I was so pleased with his behavior, and ability to adapt to living in the van and on the road.

To celebrate, of course we played John Denver's greatest hits as we drove the scenic drive of the park.

Hoping to hit park #41 on our way home from Cali sometime in February!

Happy to almost be done with my coast to coast drive. Lots of updates on the trip to come, but boy is it hard to get anything done, work wise, when you’re driving 8-14 hours a day while still trying to meet the needs of two active doggos 😂

Yesterday I showed Denver some of my favorite spots in Colorado. Today we head West through the mountains to beat the snow. This little dude is adjusting well to life on the road (and he’s got old pro CoolWhip to show him the ropes 💜)

We needed to move our car from the driveway to the street, so I took the opportunity to introduce John Denver to sitting in the passenger wheelwell. This is good prep for public transit and eventually plane travel. He aced the assignment, coming in with the head tilt for flair 😅

Had to pull out CoolWhip's baby coat and pink harness for Denver today. It's the first day it's really felt like Fall in New England!

After fussing with the coat for a few seconds, Denver realized it was more fun to play in the woods then fuss with his fit. 😂
