Since 2000, Everloving Records has been the champion of the underdogs in music. Although today many of our past successes seem so obviously commercial, most of them started as orphans.
No one would sign Jack Johnson. So we started a label selling CDs out of the garage. Today that first album “Brushfire Fairytales” has sold over 2 million copies.
Next came the score to the legendary cult film “Donnie Darko,” about a boy escaping a plane crash, which came out after 9/11 and was
pulled from theatres. Despite that inauspicious debut “Mad World” found its way to the top of the UK charts on Christmas 2003.
It has stayed on top in its category ever since.
Even our short lived soundtrack to Stacy Peralta’s “Dogtown and Z-Boys” doc earned a Best Soundtrack Grammy nomination.
From Metric to The Growlers via Van Dyke Parks and The Jack Moves Everloving has supported the outsiders, the dreamers and
the crazies and helped them realize their fantasies.
