I’ve always enjoyed the push and pull of complementary colours. How, at an initial glance, a full fusion would result in a grey, muted color, but with care and minimal mixture, it only dulls or, enhances, depending on perspective.

✨NEW PRINT ✨ (part 2) 😜

Mellifluous Movement
(Sight and Sound)

Much like art, music has always been a constant for me. I can say with certainty that every time I draw or paint, I am listening, which is the basis of this year’s Artober: The Merge of Sight and Sound -Mellifluous Movement.

This print was created by combining all 31 days from Mellifluous Movement into one drawing. As I scanned and layered each drawing into Procreate, I composed a playlist of 31 songs - 1 song from each album to which I would listen to during the addition (digital drawing) process.

A mixture of all music into one collective subconscious drawing

One of my favourite sub categories within instrumental is ambient.

This music is welcoming, as if with each note being accompanied by a gentle embrace…

like stepping into a space consumed by peace.

DAY 21: Nils Frahm - Spaces

His music was a gift.

Quite literally.

A friend (thanks John) sent me this vinyl for my birthday. When I opened it I had no clue who Nils was. Curiosity getting the better of me, I threw it on the player immediately and the rest is history.

Slow Meadow - We’re Loosing the Moon


The name makes me feel as such - wandering aimlessly through a meadow, in slow motion.

Another album of easy listenings. I will put this on when I need to write. I like to listen to something smooth and slow - how each track blends into the next.

No abrupt interruption.

That or binaural beats.

Drawing for DAY 14: John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter, Daniel Davis - Lost Themes IV Noir

John Carpenter, the master behind some of the most iconic and beloved cult horror films.

When he is not directing or making epic theme songs for his films, he makes music along side his son, Cody and friend Daniel.

This is their latest album in a series called Lost Themes - I imagine it’s music that had no home in a film.

My favourite track is, ‘My Name is Death’ - a beautiful banger - starts slow and ramps up
