I’ve been thinking about subtitles for my YouTube videos lately, and I know everyone has their own preferences. Finding the perfect setup isn’t easy, but I want to make sure the subtitles are as helpful as possible for learners of different needs!
Considering two facts:
1. Many people use plugins like Language Reactor, Trancy, etc. to learn languages.
2. The auto-translate function for CC is now available.
Here are a few options I’m thinking about:
a. Soft subs in Simplified/Traditional Chinese 🀄
b. Fixed Chinese subs + Pinyin for harder words 📜 (with soft Chinese subs)
c. Fixed subs in both Chinese and English 📜 (with soft Chinese/Pinyin subs)
