Have you ever returned from vacation and a friend or colleague says, "Hey when you were in _____, did you see that really cool ____ or try that incredible _____?", and you're doing that deer in the headlights thing because you realize you clearly missed out on something really great?
I love to travel but hate missing out on things - for me, FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) is real, so I do lots of research for my trips and want to share tips and treasures that I find along the way so you don't have that deer in the headlights experience.
Beach vacations are my favourite, but there's a whole world out there to see, so join me as I explore top resorts, exciting cities, and provide you with area guides, best places to eat, travel tips and everything in between.
If you have travel questions, pop them onto any video - I respond to all comments!
Cheers & Happy Travels!

The Riu complex in Punta Cana houses 4 properties. Riu Palace Macao (they can go everywhere), Riu Palace Bavaro (they can go everywhere but Macao), Riu Palace Punta Cana (they can go to Riu Bambu) and Riu Bambu (that's it, that's all for them).
If you were staying here, would you try out the different resort areas to see which is best, or would you just stick to your 'home' resort?

This morning the fire alarm at the resort went off at 6:30 AM!! It is what it is and you never know if it's a real emergency so you just have to suck it up & get up as quickly as you can. Fortunately, there are only 4 storey's in this building, so it wasn't like we were hustling down 11 flights of stairs.
What would you grab in an emergency (when it didn't seem totally urgent but important enough to exit the building)?

Ok for those of you who are non-smokers, something to definitely consider if planning to book Dominican Republic is that the resorts are NOT smoke free. So, so far, it's not been uncommon to sit at a bar or pool area or other common areas and have someone light up beside you.
In Mexico, for the most part, you won't experience this.
Would that make you reconsider your destination?

Would you rather have a resort with a large pool for everyone, or a bunch of smaller pools, where you can always find a chair and also find an adult pool or something more particular?

NOT going Live today as I'll be flying and need to figure this place out!
I will go LIVE tomorrow at 9am Atlantic time, which is 8am EST / 5am PST, from Riu Palace Bavaro in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Hope to see you there!

Here in Puerto Rico and have already had a Pina Colada (they were invented here!). When you travel, do you try to enjoy items that are authentic to the destination?
Like: - Jamaican Patties in Jamaica
- Caesar salad and Micheladas in Mexico
- Nanaimo bars, Caesars, and poutine in Canada

If lobster tails were on the buffet at your resort or on your cruise, would you go for it and have one (or more!) every day?

@deedeethedog05 I am curious - I know you are also cruising the Caribbean right now now - are the seas rockin like crazy for you too? It’s like everyone is wasted on this cruise (even tho a good portion are not even imbibing!). Can’t walk down the hallway without banging into a few walls.
Next stop for us is Guadeloupe.

Have you ever seen the show Below Deck? It's a luxury yacht that people can charter - typically for just a night or two. Normally this costs around $250,000 but if you go on the show, they'll film your every move BUT it's usually a fraction of the cost - maybe still $100,000 though.
If you had 10 friends who would share a luxury experience like this (and the cost), would you consider it?

Just currently docking in Charlotte Amalie in St Thomas (USVI), behind Carnival Dream (potentially 4631 passengers) and MSC Meraviglia (max 5386 passengers). The port will likely be quite busy today so I might just take the opportunity to stay on the ship and enjoy even more space to myself!
That said, we are going on a tour to the bridge deck this morning! (I opted out of the engine room tour because, frankly, I wouldn't even know what I was looking at.)
If you had a chance to look Behind The Scenes on a cruise ship, would you?
