Youtube is implementing some changes starting Jan 1st due to The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Youtube's terms of service (youtube.com/static?template=terms) will soon be updated to say you must be 13 years or older or have permission from a parent ("you represent that you have your parent or guardian’s permission"). Previously it stated that "If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use the Service".

This channel "Paper Kawaii - Origami Tutorials" has always been aimed at a General Audience and not for children under 13, it is not directed at or made specifically for children under the age of 13, and never has been as users of YouTube have always had to be over 13 years of age. If you are under 13 years of age, please check out Youtube's terms of service (youtube.com/static?template=terms) for more information.

Origami is an art form which in most cases takes patience, practise and dedication to create, meaning that people aged up to 100 and over can create origami, it is for everyone to enjoy.

In my YouTube statistics, it is clear that the age of my audience is predominantly 15-30 years of age, in fact the stats do not contain any information about people under 13 years of age.

The new legislation is very vague and has many people concerned for the future of their youtube channels, please help by signing this petition to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to clarify and reconsider the new Children’s Online Privacy Protection (COPPA Rule) regulations for YouTube creators:
