Mixing sacred, Sanskrit mantra with modern contemporary music, John's debut solo album was produced in California by acclaimed Grammy-nominated Ben Leinbach. The single “Nataraja," is featured on Kripalu’s Seva CD “Sounds of Bhakti—Vol 7," and the live kirtan album (Mahapurna Live) followed soon thereafter.

John studied yoga formally, at the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres in The Bahamas and New York and he holds a Master Teacher Certification (Acharya, M.Y.) in Classical Hatha Yoga & Vedanta philosophy.

He is a regular performer/presenter at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts; Bhaktifest in Joshua Tree, California; Ahimsa Yoga and Music Festival, New York; the Toronto International Yoga Conference and Show; and Toronto’s Global Yogathon in Dundas Square.

A native of The Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada, he is currently working on his follow-up studio album which is expected in 2022.
