Recently, we shared a lighthearted YouTube Short about the unusually windy conditions in Los Angeles. Tragically, shortly after we posted the video, the winds and fires escalated into a devastating catastrophe, resulting in the loss of lives and homes.
We want to make it absolutely clear that it was never our intention to be disrespectful or inconsiderate during such a difficult time. Out of respect for those affected, we have removed the video.
Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by this tragedy. We stand with our community during this time of loss and recovery. Kim & Jerry

WHAT IT'S like:
We're constantly on the look out for smoke, always on edge wondering if the power was going to shut off at anytime. The sounds of the winds becomes unnerving. Always with a flashlight in hand at night. While this is nothing compared to those that have lost homes/lives---the continual ' being on edge' is stressful nonetheless. And then comes night.
You lay there, hearing the winds wooshing and swirling all around your house. You try to close your eyes but the sounds of the wind's force, open your eyes to look outside again-just in case. Constantly asking yourself: Will this be the gust the blows a nearby transformer and takes out your power?
Pictures below: a CK viewer from the East Coast alerted us of the Kenneth Fire (pictured). All this fire had to do was crest the top of the hill and work it's way down. Looks far away but as crazy as these winds are...this fire could easily get down those hills in no time.
To add to the matters: tomorrow is a Utility Co. planned 'power off' for the entire day - and the may take even longer. (Our generator is in position)
Please don't stop thinking and praying for us - we're not out of this yet. Our thoughts/prayers/hugs go out to the many that lost a whole lot more....

Can I get your thoughts? My last two videos we did not use sound effects or quick jump cuts (when the videos changes clips change really fast). Do you like my videos with sounds effects/jump cuts or without them?

I have taken a break from posting videos - a much needed chance to unwind with no pressure deadlines, etc. Just milling about in the garden has brought back the joy and peace that sometimes gets lost in the shuffle.
