Pantelis Stoikos is one of the most creative artist trumpeter in the contemporary Balkan world jazz scene.In 1994 had his first trumpet lessons alongside learning the piano.He continued his studies at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki and won distinctions in many areas of music.Moreover, he attended the seminar and music laboratory of IVO PAPAZOV “The revival of traditional music through the spirit of jazz”.He focuses on the sounds of his region, (western macedonia), expanding this music with jazz&classical music styles, he is a versatile musician, who masters the codes of jazz, contemporary music & free improvisation, but also moves very naturally between several regional styles, from Greece, Bulgaria,Turkey&Serbia.He usually conducts his own projects like the Aggeliki Toubanaki & the Buzz Bastardz last year the Pantelis Stoikos Quartet, and he has collaborated with a large number of groups and artists from Balkan and Jazz music.
