When Ed first sent me this demo I immediately knew we had to work on it together. We were lucky enough to find some time on tour together to make it happen.
A new one from a very talented new producer, ALZRN CRMSN. Over the last decade ALZRN CRMSN (Jacob Gossett) has co-produced music as 1/2 of Beacon with releases on Ghostly International, Anjunadeep and KOMPAKT. After finishing co-writing Beacon’s 4th LP he launched the solo project ALZRN CRMSN.  In 2022 he released his first single under the moniker and the remix for Mild Minds IT WONT DO is the first official remix for the project.Â
The IT WONT DO Remix is a slightly darker take on the Mild Minds original. Frenetic arpeggiators ping and pulsate over the garage leaning rhythm resulting in a track that is ready for the late night dance floor.Â

After making a lot of more serious, darker music these past two years I started to feel like I really wanted to drop something on the more uplifting and cheerful side of things; a whole side of this project that has been neglected for a while. Meanwhile, the tempo and mood of songs in my personal playlists have also been creeping up these last six months, so it feels liberating and like a nice change of pace to put something so carefree and fun out there.
I wrote this track back in Melbourne while winter was looming. It is about two people converging and then diverging; the secrets that we hold from each other and the covert effects that they slowly have on our relationships. Listen to DEVOTION here: mildminds.lnk.to/devotionYY
