Now that the tour has finished and the dust has settled a bit I just wanted to post this little thing ….
The first half is from 2009 (😲) …. The second half is from last week .
I was only twenty five when I first came to Australia . I didn’t have much of a plan other than to busk and play gigs and meet people ….
I ended up making a collaborations album called “flight of the crow” with a bunch of brilliant Australian musicians .
Its a long story and I wont go in to it now …. But Josh Pyke was the first person to take a chance on working with me .
He was so kind , we hung out , wrote together , played gigs and shared a lot of great times . He taught me an awful lot about how to create a sustainable career in music and also how to be a decent human ….
This year he joined me on my little Australian run which felt like a lovely full circle moment .

Here's a demo of a new song of mine called “ghosts” .
For years I wasn’t able to sing like this … the combination of smoking and singing all the time meant that I could never get up this high 😞 it was something that I just accepted and never thought it would change .
Over the last few years I’ve been looking after myself way better and slowly but surely my falsetto returned .
Although I’ll never quite be @boniver , I cant tell you how joyful it is to be able to sing in this register 🥲
I really love this song . I feel like it’s about as honest and vulnerable a song as I’m able to write .
Cant believe tour starts in a couple of days …. a lot of the gigs are sold out or getting there now so please do grab your tickets if you wanna come along …
In the meantime , I’ll be sharing a brand new song / demo / video tonight at 7pm uk time …. its something a little different this time … 👀 … see you there (link below) xx

All of the shows listed are my own headline shows other than the two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre (🤯) where I’ll be opening up for my old pal @GregoryAlanIsakov 🥰

In a world that often seems to be heavy with bad news and worry and negativity , I really hope you enjoy these few minutes of love and laughter and joy …. and very cute animals and babies ❤️
