I have had no luck in getting the copyright strike withdrawn; in fact the copyright holder didn't bother to reply at all. So I'm stuck in limbo for ten weeks. I'm going to amend my self-ban on posting a bit; I don't want the channel to appear dead. I will try to post one carefully selected video per week; some will be new, others will be upgrades of previous posts that have survived the copyright process. There's still a chance that one of my posts from years ago will get the third strike anyhow (that's how it's worked lately at any rate). Watch for my first video from limbo Tuesday, and thank you so much for your support. -dg
I've had several copyright issues with some older posts over the past weeks. Long story short, it's left me with two active copyright strikes. I don't contest taking down the videos; even if a dozen other people with larger audiences than me have posted the same content, it's still the right of the copyright owner to remove my video. I contacted the first one to see if they would ask youtube to withdraw the copyright strike; I received no reply and it's still standing. The second one hit me tonight from a different company. I wrote them to see if they would ask youtube to withdraw the strike; we'll see what happens. That's important because if I get a third strike, this entire channel will be removed. Everything. As long as I have two active strikes I am not posting any new videos, as any one of them could trigger the death of this channel. Unfortunately, both of my active strikes were on videos posted years ago, so even if I post nothing new there's still a chance someone will take issue with one of my old posts and give me the deadly third strike. If I hear back on the second strike and the news is good I will announce it here and then can resume posting Classic TV Themes. If not, it will be a long ten weeks. Thank you so much for your interest in my channel. dg
We made three tries at posting the themes to 'Kojak'. The first two were immediately blocked worldwide, but a slimmed down video appeared to pass muster. It would have been posted today but last night it too was blocked. Sorry about that. We've got a pretty good album of tv/movie themes in its place today, and should be back with another try at a Classic TV Theme in a day or two.
We had prepared a post featuring 'Spellbinder', a show about a parallel world. Surely it would pass copyright, as the entire series, and a follow-up series, are both posted right here on youtube. But the copyright gods can be fickle. Our three-minute video of the theme was blocked for copyright in 97% of the world! Oh well, stay tuned. We'll try again this weekend with another Classic TV Theme.
We're in day two of a power outage and no end in sight yet. Haven't been able to put any videos together or upload them. Please stand by; hope to be back in business soon, but don't expect anything today. Thank you so much.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the states, and we'll be taking advantage of the turkey and the subsequent shopping discounts. We have a post scheduled during our time off and will be back Tuesday with more Classic TV Themes. Best holiday wishes for *your* Thanksgiving.
Working on a theme post for today I just stumbled across a lead that might give me the footage I couldn't find. So I put that on hold. Luckily I had a back-up ready to go and uploaded that...only it was blocked for copyright. So I'm stuck for today. Tune in tomorrow, same time, same channel, for another Classic TV Theme.
We'll be away for several days for some family matters. We have scheduled a couple of special posts that will appear during the hiatus and should be back some time next week with more Classic TV Themes. Thanks for your interest in our channel; if you have subscribed, thanks; if not, please consider it. dg
The week before labor day is a traditional vacation period for television in the states: lots of substitute hosts, reruns, etc. And such is the case with our channel. We'll be off on vacation and back after the Labor Day holiday. We won't go dark; we'll have a few special posts scheduled to appear here and there (watch for the first one on Monday). Thank you so much for your interest in our channel (feel free to subscribe) and we'll return after Sep 4 with more Classic TV Themes.

We'll be on a reduced schedule leading up to the holidays, so expect a day here or there when we don't have a post. Like today. Back tomorrow...
