Are you using a heat protection on your hair??

If you're not using a heat protection on your hair (😱) then we have to change that!!

When it comes to heat protection there are 3 different types.

1) A heat protection spray - there are dry heat protection sprays or wet heat protection sprays.

2) Heat protection built in to your hair products. For example a lot of leave in conditioner have heat protection properties in them.

3) Hair serums also have heat protection in them. But you want to make sure you check the product details because not all hair serums might have heat protection built into them.

If you have any heat protection questions drop them in the comments!

I got a DM recently asking if I have any hair growth products that I've used and recommend...

Over the years I've tried so many hair growth products! Here are my favourites and why ⤵️

**please keep in mind that what works for me and my hair might not work for you and your hair.**

💊 Hair Growth Vitamins
Vegamour Gro Biotin Gummies: I saw results in 3-4 months with consistent use. My hair overall grew a lot faster and felt stronger.

✨ JSHealth Hair and Energy: I saw results in 2-3 months with consistent use. Hair was feeling thicker and stronger. Also, I noticed that my hair was growing faster.

🧴Shampoo and Conditioner
Vegamour GRO Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner: The shampoo is excellent for a normal to oily scalp. Conditioner is good for dry to normal ends. With consistent use, I saw results in 3-4 months. Hair grew faster and was feeling thicker.

Protip: Consistency is key when it comes to using any products that are meant to help promote hair growth and help with hair thickness!

✂️ LONG HAIRCUT DETAILS ⬇️

Client 1 - Has thick wavy hair. She has no layers in back. Just a straight cut. In the front she has face framing layers. Her first layer in the front starts below her chin.

Client 2 - Has medium wavy hair. In the back we did heavy layering. The first layer starting from under her shoulder blade. In the front we did face framing layers and a shorter curtain bang starting at her cheek bone.

Client 3 - Has fine wavy hair. We did long layers in the back. In the front I added in face framing layers the first layer starting at her chin.

Ready to leave flat hair behind? Use these three tips for a bouncier blow-dry 🙌

➡️ use a hair roller to set your front section

❌STOP making this hair mistake…

Hairstylist pro-tip: if you have an oily scalp do NOT apply your hair products to your roots!

Since you’re scalp is already producing an excess of sebum, adding more product to the mix will only speed up how quickly that oily becomes visible.

Instead ➡️apply your hair products from your mid-lengths to the ends if your hair!

If you’re not sure about your scalp type, or what products to use if you have an oily scalp, I recommend my educational guide: ✨Hair Care 101: Discover Your Hair Needs ✨

This guide will give you the tools to analyze your scalp, as well as give you a detailed product list for your corresponding type!

Do you need a new shampoo but have ZERO clue what to buy? 😅

Don’t worry - I’ve got you! There are 3 main things to ask yourself when shopping for that new shampoo

➡️ What’s my scalp type?
➡️ What shampoo would best fit my hair needs at this moment (i.e. figure out if you need more hydration, more fullness, etc.)?
➡️ What consistency of shampoo works best for my scalp type?

Asking yourself these three questions and watch how easy buying a shampoo becomes - you’ll be able to do a quick search and check out in minutes 🎉

Not sure what your scalp type is, now to analyze what your hair needs, or what kind of consistency works best with your hair!

Creating the perfect curls starts with choosing the right tool for the job, and when it comes to curling irons, the size of the barrel is key.

But with so many sizes and styles available, how do you know which one is right for your hair length, type, and desired look?

Here's a quick barrel size cheat sheet:

1 1/2 INCH ➡️ Defined yet soft curls and waves, suitable for medium to long hair

1 1/4 INCH ➡️ Bouncy curls and loose, trendy waves, good for medium-length hair
