Actually I will edit that to say “ You can make food at home that is BETTER than restaurant food!”
In fact, we hardly ever eat out anymore because the food we make at home really is superior to most food we can buy at a restaurant. AND it has better ingredients and costs less.
I am not saying that in an arrogant way to mean I am a better cook than others. What I mean is that simple, fresh ingredients can hold their own!
Learning how to source quality ingredients and prepare them in a way that lets their flavors shine is all it takes to make an amazing meal for your family.
These skills are simple to learn and just take a little time and a little repetition.
I recommend starting with the basics. Learn how to cook a few of the vegetables your family likes. Learn how to cook them really well. Learn how to make a good steak in a cast iron skillet, roast a juicy whole chicken, and make broth from the bones. Learn how to make a simple loaf of sandwich bread.
Find a mentor who can show you some basic kitchen skills and slowly build on them.
Even if you “hate to cook”, with time you may find that there is a beauty in engaging in your food, tasting and adjusting and learning through your senses. The experience is rewarding and there is pride and satisfaction to be found in making something from scratch and feeding it to other people.
If you love to cook from scratch or want to learn more about cooking this way, then this is the account for you. Let’s be friends!
My passion really is to inspire and teach others about from scratch cooking with quality ingredients.
I believe in the power of food and that food prepared in the traditional way truly has the power to heal and nourish.
What skills in the kitchen are you hoping to learn?

I plan to film tomorrow and get another video up next week! Hope that each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family. Here is a little picture of our family from our Thanksgiving! Blessing to you and your family and know that I am thankful for YOU❤️
