Yeah, I know... another Claymundo community post *sigh*. But I have to say a couple things about that first stream. First of all, thank you all so much for all the support. That was unbelievable and so appreciated! I was so not prepared for that outpouring of love and totally overwhelmed trying to process it all.

That being said I also want to sincerely apologize for how messed up that notification situation was and how bad I was at keeping up with thanking you all for the memberships and donations and raids and just chat in general. I had no idea how hard it was going to be to juggle everything at once and I am so, so sorry if I didn’t give shout outs or missed any comments during the stream! I believe I have the notification issue sorted out now after some more tinkering so hopefully next stream it will be working as intended. I promise I will do better in the future, and I am blown away with how kind and generous you all were to me.

I am currently awaiting an email response from a Google support specialist about what happened with the gifted memberships. From what I could tell you guys just straight up broke their whole system which I have never seen happen before. They said to expect a response within 24 hours, so once I hear back from them, I’ll let you guys know what the next step is, whether that be contacting them for refunds or whatever the case may be. Either way I saw an insane amount of people gifting a ridiculous amount and I can’t thank you guys enough!

Shout out to everyone that watched, chatted, donated, raided, and joined in the Mundo Madness. Thanks for being patient with me and understanding! I tried my best to make sure I had everything set up properly for the stream but of course there were things I missed and some things out of my control. Now that I got the first stream growing pains out of the way I’m ironing out the kinks and working on fixing the issues and making sure the next stream goes much more smoothly. For anyone who is unaware, there has been some drama in the GTA RP world between the main server I play on and some of my friends that were removed from that server a while ago. Let me first acknowledge how embarrassing it is to even have to address this as we are all adults playing a video game designed for adolescents that was released over ten years ago. Not to mention the fact that we don’t even play the game the way it was intended; we do silly voices and pretend to be stupid characters for the amusement of other adults. We represent such a small minority of humanity in the grand scheme of the universe and have so much in common, and yet somehow we have found a way to divide ourselves even further into smaller groups that don’t get along. It’s fucking wild. Having said that, brace yourselves for a wall of text. TL;DR “The vibes are in shambles, and I am peacing out.”

I had no intention of commenting on the “OCRP situation” but it seems like if you stay quiet people start speaking for you and putting words in your mouth. I prefer to keep my opinions and beliefs to myself and have tried to stay out of it, but I’ve been unwillingly dragged into the drama so let me make this clear: I do not support any of the negativity, name-calling, and harassment that has been going around. It doesn’t change anything and you’re not helping anyone. The whole point of video games is supposed to be having fun, and as a content creator your goal is to entertain. The mudslinging just makes everyone look bad and doesn’t make the situation any better. It’s not fun and it’s not entertaining.

All I am going to say on the situation is that nobody knows the whole story and both sides have their own version of the truth and from my perspective both sides made mistakes. I’m not going to be an ass-kissing bootlicker and say the admins can do no wrong. By their own admission they are not perfect. But at least they admit their mistakes and are willing to acknowledge their failings. I may not agree with every decision they make but it’s not my server and I don’t envy the position they are in or the sacrifices they make to keep it running smoothly. Being a member of a private server is a privilege that comes with the knowledge that you can be removed at any time for any reason at the owner’s discretion. No one is entitled to anything. We play there for free at their expense with the understanding that we own nothing and are owed nothing and if we disagree with anything we are free to leave at any time. They ask nothing of us in return other than that we follow their rules. The issue is those rules can be interpreted differently by different people and misunderstandings can happen. That is unfortunate, but unavoidable.

On the other hand, I’m also not going to blindly support someone just because they’re my friend. Friends can make mistakes too, and you can still hold them accountable. They have every right to speak their minds and express how they feel, but in my opinion some of the things being said are unnecessary. I also feel misled by some of the statements that were made and betrayed by being included in the drama with no warning and without my consent. Encouraging your community to engage in what I view as “cyberbullying” to retaliate on your behalf is behavior I cannot abide. It accomplishes nothing and benefits no one. Using your followers as a weapon to bring another community down in an attempt to build your own server up is not the way to go. In doing so they have failed to consider the consequences this would have on those who choose to remain in OCRP who have been bombarded with negativity and the ramifications for those of us who had hoped to remain members of both servers who now feel forced to choose one side or the other. Nobody wins, it’s lose-lose for all of us. I joined MBIRP because I wanted to support my friend and have a place we could still play together, but a server with a foundation built on rejection and vengeance is not something I want to be a part of.

That being said, I have made the decision to leave MBIRP and will be taking a break from OCRP until the drama has passed and changes have been made to ensure that things will be better going forward. I am not making this post to open up a discussion about who’s right or wrong, I am only sharing my views because I feel like I have to at this point. If you disagree with me that’s fine, but I hope everyone will continue to show love to the creators they support and put a stop to the negativity. I wish everyone well and hope for the best.
