Accepting the Universe

An unexamined life is a life not worth living

Accepting the Universe

Looking for a documentary to watch?

If you have heard me talk about René Girard's ideas before but are not yet convinced that you should drastically improve your life by dropping your false identities, ego and the blinders that keep us in an ever-escalating spiral of competition with our fellow humans, I recommend that you watch this.

The film lays out the core tenets of Girard's thought and might be exactly what you need to start engaging more deeply with his work.

It's free on YouTube: https://youtu.be/L-vB1HaBsog?si=TwOLb...

If you enjoy the film, please give it a thumbs up and consider thanking the filmmaker in the comments. Projects like this are not done for financial interests, but for intellectual ones and I'm sure the filmmaker would really appreciate your encouragement ❤️

Accepting the Universe

Please join me on Thursday (22nd) at 5pm Central Time for the premiere of my conversation with psychologist, and friend of the channel, Mitchell Howarth to discuss how the ancient philosophy that we discuss on this channel has influenced modern psychotherapy and is helping many people every day to overcome obstacles.

We are hoping to show those who question the validity and value of ancient ideas in current times that these ideas really are universal, timeless and practically applicable as well as backed by science.

The conversation is pre-recorded, but both Mitchell and I will be there in the live chat to answer your questions and to engage with you in real time. I'm looking forward to it!

Here is the link to the premiere. If you want to make sure that you will remember to be there when it goes live, you can click the "notify me" button to be reminded: https://youtu.be/0wUm3JterYA

Accepting the Universe

Leyla is back to her old self again and has taken my channel over to show you a statue of Goethe and Schiller who both have a quote displayed on either side.

On Schiller's side it reads: "Wer nichts waget der darf nichts hoffen."; which I would roughly translate to: "Those who do not dare anything cannot hope for anything."

Accepting the Universe

Sorry, no new video today!
Leyla, who can be seen running around in the background in this video, has contracted Lyme disease and needs much help getting around since she is not able to walk right now. She is in good spirits however and enjoys being carried everywhere as well as being spoon-fed all her meals/medication from the comfort of her bed.

In order to not leave you without a video this week, I uploaded the uncut version of a video that was posted months ago and which many of you missed.

It's a joy to watch her exploring the forest behind me in the video and we are doing everything to get her back to doing that. Give your healthy animal friends a kiss and savor the moment!
