Actress Dame Maggie Smith, known for the Harry Potter films and Downton Abbey, has died at the age of 89, her family has said. A legend of British stage and screen, she won two Oscars during her career - for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie in 1970 and California Suite in 1979. Acting legend James Earl Jones, who voiced Star Wars villain Darth Vader and Mufasa in The Lion King, has died at the age of 93.

Jones, a longtime sufferer of diabetes, died at his home surrounded by family members, his agent Barry McPherson said. No cause of death was was given.

Jones appeared in Conan the Barbarian, played Eddie Murphy's dad in Coming to America and starred in The Hunt for Red October and Patriot Games. But it was his iconic voice as the villainous Darth Vader for which he was best known. He was one of the few entertainers to have won the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards).

His long list of awards included Tonys for The Great White Hope in 1969 and Fences in 1987 on Broadway and Emmys in 1991 for Gabriel's Fire and Heat Wave on television. He also won a Grammy for best spoken word album, Great American Documents in 1977.

Ángel Salazar, Comedian and ‘Scarface’ Actor, Dies at 68

Scarface star Ángel Salazar, who played Al Pacino’s trusted sidekick “Chi-Chi” in the cult classic, has died aged 68.A stand-up comedian in New York, his biggest role was playing Chi Chi in the 1983 film, “Scarface.” He then went on to play Rico, alongside Tom Hanks in Punchline in 1988 and then as Walberto in Carlito’s Way in 1993.

Other notable credits include Boulevard Nights, Sylvester, and Maniac Cop 2. He was due to appear in The Brooklyn Premiere this year. He also made a number of television appearances as himself including on Showtime at the Apollo in 1992.

He is said to have died over the weekend at a friend’s home in Brooklyn, New York. His representative and close friend Ann Wingsong confirmed the news. The star had suffered from heart issues over the years, but a cause of death has not been disclosed. R.I.P Ángel
