Jessica Alpern is an Emmy Award-Winning journalist with more than a decade of industry experience in television, radio and digital journalism. Alpern left the mainstream news industry in 2021 to embark on a new chapter, Jessica the Journalist. Established in 2022, the independent journalism platform was created in response to feedback Alpern received over the years in mainstream news. Viewers constantly expressed a desire for more “good, happy news,” but Alpern was limited to covering stories that satisfied her news stations’ agendas.

With a background in entertainment & lifestyle news, Alpern knew exactly what types of stories her viewers were craving and the type of content she would bring to Jessica the Journalist.

In addition to reading Jessica the Journalist blog content online, Alpern has expanded on her television journalism roots to launch a YouTube channel under the same name.
