Mr. Mythos

Attaching an old pic of myself and the lovely then-Ms. Mythos (circa 2020). It's a special one to me.

Many thoughts on my mind.

I love you guys and gals. I want you to know that. I guess parasocial relationships can work both ways hehe. Not everyone gets the opportunity to share their passion as I do on Youtube and to have so many people appreciate their work, it's really one of the deepest feelings, at least to me, so thank you for watching, listening, and enjoying. Call me sappy, you'll make me smile 😀. I can only be myself, right?

There are reasons for the delay that I'm unable to discuss right now (at some point I may make a video about it on my second channel... it is a lot, complex, and abnormal in different ways) but I'm committing to keeping you all in the loop, no more going MIA. I know the release has been dragging. I am skilled at researching, writing, and making videos... not so much estimating time.

Time is important. My time is very split but I had an experience in May that made me understand the priority of taking care of oneself and loving oneself. It's the foundation. Then everything can build from there.

In short - I guarantee, the video is on the way. And it'll be a really fun and long one. But I can't rightfully give an estimate of when. I am extremely excited to come back, but I have things that need to be handled immediately that take priority.

But know that I'm thinking of all of you, reading your comments and messages. My fellow seekers, this is far from over. - MM

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

An update from Mr. Mythos + a riddle to solve! 🗝️

In my last post I said "September will be the month", but I have to eat my own words - I need to delay my next video to October. My ambitions got the better of me 😅 I didn't expect this video to be such a lengthy beast - I kept digging up heaps of strange info and it was hard to put a cap on it. So I need another week or two to finish recording and editing. I think the end result will be worth it though... thanks for your patience!

So, about that riddle… 🤔

I thought a fun little challenge could help fill the void as I wrap up this video. So if ye can solve it, ye shall be rewarded.

“I’m not from here, and I’m not from there, nor from anywhere you’d point at in the air. Not of flesh, not of bone, but if I want, all and more can be shown. My truth lies not in the forms I take; you cannot see me in a natural state. I may act absurd, horrific, or mean; I may prank or plot, or even do good things. There is no comparison between our kinds, yet I still visit yours after all this time. Since days of ancient, we have met; we may share a world, but our realities are far separate. If this description doesn't satisfy... more can be found in documents marked 'Classified'... What am I?”

If you comment the correct answer within 5 days of this post, I’ll read your username out-loud in a special outro section of my upcoming video, immortalizing your place in the Mythos Cinematic Universe.

You can sleuth out the truth, or simply spitball answers... Everyone who gets it right wins. Godspeed and good luck! - MM

Mr. Mythos

Hey everyone 🙂 I’m coming back to making videos!

I’m sorry for the hiatus and silence. I was going through a very difficult time in my life, but I’m doing better now. I just finished drafting a new script. It’s on a topic that I found very… interesting. Think UFOlogy meets Demonology. September will be the month.

Special thank you to my patrons, members, and my Discord mods, and for the kind messages and comments I received these past 4 months. It’s meant a lot to me, more than I can properly express. Excited to see you all again soon. - MM

When European explorers and conquistadors came to the Americas, many encountered giants and recorded this as fact. From mighty chiefs to entire tribes, some New World goliaths were friendly while others thirsted for bloodshed. And Europeans weren’t the only ones to meet them… 500 years earlier, the Aztecs almost drove the giants to extinction.

Tomorrow (Saturday the 18th), come hang out and chat with me LIVE as we dive into this giant mystery! Check the pinned comment below for the schedule and link to the premiere!

Mr. Mythos

So… I’ve received a number of messages like this in the last few days since releasing my Fallen Angel video. I understand why my Muslim fans may have been puzzled when I presented the origin of Iblis (Islam’s Devil) as an angel, as opposed to a jinn.

Today, the most accepted belief is that Iblis was originally a jinn. Iblis’s own words in the Quran strongly suggest this:

“… thou hast created me out of fire…” (Ayah al-A`raf 7:12)

The Quran states that jinn are created from fire:

“And the jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire.” End Quote. (Ayah al-Hijr 15:27)

Despite this, there have been many strong arguments for an alternative theory of Iblis’s origin as an angel. These come from some of Islam’s most prolific, influential, and respected mufassir (Quranic interpreters), beginning in the same century the Quran was written, and continuing for well over a thousand years.

Ibn Abbas was likely the first to plant the seeds for this theory. Ibn Abbas was not only the Prophet Mohammed’s cousin, but he’s considered by many to be the greatest mufassir in Islam’s history.

Ibn Abbas argued that Iblis’s association with the term ‘jinn’ and his jinn-like qualities (such as fire) can and should be interpreted/translated in a very different manner, due to his very different context in the Quran. While jinn are created from ‘smokeless’ fire, and Iblis was created from fire too, Iblis’s fire is never described as smokeless, which can be seen as an encrypted hint toward his real origin.

In Islam, angels are believed to have been created from light. This is not found in the Quran, but rather a hadith (statement) from Aisha, the wife of the Prophet Mohammed.

In Abrahamic tradition far predating Islam, angels were strongly associated with fire. This is how they were portrayed in the Hebrew Bible. Therefore, it’s not a surprise that many mufassir went on to argue that there might exist two types of angels – angels of mercy, created from light, and guardian angels, created from fire. And from this, many mufassir found it important to argue for (or at least consider) the possibility that Iblis was originally an angel, not a jinn.

These mufassir include Al-Tabari, Al-Tha’labi, Al-Baydawi, Mahmud al-Alusi, and al-Ash’ari.

As for the specific source I used during the making of Fallen Angel Demonology, I relied on an academic paper, as cited in Picture #3.

I care deeply about the quality of my research and have a personal preference to give special attention to lesser-known perspectives and interpretations. This will inevitably result in people labeling me as a liar because these ideas don’t reflect the religious dogma or what they were taught to believe, and most people have never heard such information due to its sheer obscurity.

I will never claim to be an academic or authority on the subject. I am a seeker. I started my channel with the motto “Truth or Lore” because I am not here to tell you what to believe. My only intent is to encourage open-minded thinking and broaden my audience’s perspective because there are many possibilities. It’s my hope to inspire you to perform your own deep and open-minded research if these subjects are important to you.

Your journey is your own… your beliefs should be fortified by your own hand. If there’s one thing I’d advise though, is to actively avoid limiting yourself to singular conclusions, but instead leave room for the known and unknown possibilities.

Thank you to all my Muslim fans who approached this issue with kindness and respect – much love to you all and know that I appreciated your thoughtful words. I hope this helps clear things up. Thank you all so much.

“God willing, I will write about them… the secret knowledge of demons."

I found this hauntingly relevant quote in the 13th-century Treatise on the Left Emanation. I have 3 productions I consider ‘cursed’ – Demonology, Angelology, and now Fallen Angel Demonology. By ‘cursed’, I mean a series of straight-from-hell problems right before I can finalize the video, forcing a major delay.

On October 29th, the ‘curse’ struck again. The same day, I discovered TWO water leaks in my home, my keyboard broke, and my editing program began crashing every 10 minutes... so I switched to a backup computer. Oct 30th, we had a long power outage. Oct 31st, an immediate family issue popped up that I needed to handle. Not a serious problem… but still! Wow.

If you believe in evil spirits (in this case, fallen angels), it appears they have real issues with me investigating them in obsessive detail!

No matter though - I STILL FINISHED IT! 🤠 The link to the video is in the Pinned Comment below 👇

The Left Emanation quote continues... “It is a long and deep path and it eludes all masters of wisdom who are not willing to descend into the depths of the wisdom of the hidden emanation, the depth of good and depth of evil."

Are you willing? Will you watch? It was one hell of a trip it getting it out there... but also a labor of love that I feel was absolutely worth it. Especially if you enjoy and/or find value in it. See you all around :)

"I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven."

This weekend, we complete the Obsessively Detailed trilogy... Through Enochian texts, ancient Arabic scripture, Chinese Manichaean fragments, and more, I managed dig up some secrets and connections I've never heard or read elsewhere.

Long time fans may remember that the making of my first Demonology video was 'cursed'... production was hellish (no exaggeration) but I pushed through. I'm a little nervous about how Fallen Angel Demonology will go. I feel a bit silly asking this, but wish me luck.

And mark your calendars for this weekend, the days before Halloween... 🎃 'tis the season to learn the true origin of demons and devils, and who commands them.

Mr. Mythos

I left out one strange theory in my recent video on the alleged immortal alchemist Fulcanelli.

The biggest mystery when it came to Fulcanelli was always his identity. And this theory actually comes from Patrick Reverie, a student of Eugène Canseliet (Fulcanelli’s most devoted acolyte). In his book “Fulcanelli: His True Identity Revealed”, Reverie argued that the face behind the Fulcanelli mask was none other than the French physicist Jules Violle (image 2).

Jules Violle was famous for his breakthroughs in measuring the light intensity of the sun, and today the name Violle lives on as a unit of light measurement. Admittedly, the nature of Violle’s work links him thematically with Fulcanelli’s secret society, the Brothers of Heliopolis (the ancient Egyptian city Heliopolis was known as a center of sun worship).

That said, Patrick Reverie based his conclusion almost entirely on linguistic clues. That’s certainly not a bad approach - it’s a fact that Fulcanelli was obsessed with wordplay. Reverie’s proof, however, is a bit more ‘out there’…

One of his main pieces of evidence was actually the seahorse shown in Fulcanelli’s coat of arms (image 3). According to Reverie, the tail of the seahorse could represent the shape of a “J”, and its neck appears to be in the shape of a “V”… which happens to be Jules Violle’s initials!

Hmmm… I’m not very convinced. 😆

Of course, Reverie came equipped with more examples to back up his theory, but the way he explains it all is pretty esoteric. I’m curious, have any of you heard of this theory before? Are there any solid reasons to believe Jules Violle may have been Fulcanelli’s true identity?
