I was bored and I decided to rank which country / geographical area has the best cuisine. After a long debate with myself, I finally ended up with the ranking below. So obviously, this ranking is VERY subjective and I haven’t tried every cuisine in the world, so they might be countries with very good cuisine that I have never tasted. And I also want to add that I rank these cuisines by how much I would be satisfied if I eat the best food of these countries, because there are also weird dishes among these countries that I don’t like.
Happy Bastille day!! 235 years ago, the French took over a fortress full of weapons and prisoners!!! And by the way, did you know we also celebrate the Festival of the Federation on that day (fête de la fédération). So basically this celebration was held on the Champs de Mars (today the Effeil tower is there) and happened the 14th of July 1790, so one year after the storming of the Bastille. This celebration honors the Revolution and the national unity of the country. And the king was celebrating that festival on that day!
Happy 4th of July!! 248 years ago, the United States of America declared their independence from Great Britain and became the first colony of the Americas (maybe the first colony in the world, if I'm not mistaken) to do so. So I'm showing again that drawing of George Washington and his dudes crossing the Delaware river. By the way, it's kinda crazy to think that the most powerful country on earth was originally an overtaxed land of prisoners, slaves and peasants.
