The Zora Neale Hurston/Richard Wright Foundation is a literary arts nonprofit organization founded in 1990 in Washington, DC. For more than 30 years, the foundation has pursued its mission to discover, mentor, and honor Black writers. Through writing workshops, classes, public readings, writing competitions, and an awards ceremony in Washington, the foundation has established a strong literary community among Black writers.
