Heya folks!

First and foremost I have to thank each and everyone of you for being so awesome!
The channel has been growing very steadily over the last few months; viewership and interactions have been at an all time high and it's all because of you, so thank you for joining me on my little mini adventures.

With that being said, I am actually going to be taking a few weeks away from the channel. It's not by choice, it's simply the cards I've been dealt.

I always like to have a few videos ready to go live at any time acting as a backlog, just in case I'm not able to make a weekly recording. Over the last few months this hasn't been possible as I have to fit this channel around working full time, additional freelance work as well as finally taking driving lessons (just passed my practical test too, first time!). Due to this combination I simply haven't been able to find the time to create a backlog, I'm also on holiday next week which will act as a well needed break & reset.

I think it'll be a few weeks yet till my schedule clears up to the point I can create again but I wanted to let you know, I'm not going anywhere!

I love getting out into the wild, creating these videos and hearing from all of you.

So for now,

I'll see you later folks 😉

Quick question folks, I always provide information like my shutter speed, ISO, aperture & focal length when showing an image but would you find it beneficial/ interesting if I was to show you the actual RAW file too?

A good old before & after!

Please let me know your thoughts 😄

Yesterday while travelling back from a filming location, my buddy Luke and I stopped off in the Forest of Dean for a little look around. I didn't film anything as it was only a quick visit to get a feel for the place but I did bring my primary camera on the off chance that something cool popped up.

While walking around we noticed divots missing in the path, I passed it off as a deer searching for food who had kicked up bits of grass but Luke had other ideas; he proposed wild boar.

As we walked we noticed areas where the soil had been overturned and churned up, it was looking like Luke may be correct then we heard it. A grunt from the undergrowth got both of our attentions, the fact that we couldn't see what was making the unmistakable noise fed into our concern as we both know boar can be aggressive if they feel threatened.

We carried on down the path and decided to briefly wait at a vantage point allowing a clearer view of a stream below. It didn't take long for a family of boar to come through. At a distance I noticed three young, an adult female and him. A giant adult male.

I was a fair distance away, watching from behind some cover, surely they could smell me and were aware of my presence? They carried on walking towards me.

Still at a distance I took a small handful of images and promptly got out of there. There's always the chance that they wouldn't have bothered with me but on the other hand, I didn't want to risk any headlines reading 'idiot photographer gets seriously injured while photographing wild boar with young'.

I decided a healthy amount of space and not to overdo my welcome was the best approach in this particular situation.

So there we have it, my first ever image and encounter with a wild boar; a nerve-racking yet beautiful moment in time.

Heya folks!

There won't be a video tonight as I've just traded in my Canon gear and I'm moving system. Obviously there's no such thing as a bad camera nowadays but what brand do you think I've moved to? 😉

Find out next Friday when service will resume as mormal.

Cheers 😎🐦

Heya folks!

Thank you for joining me for my very first Wildlife YouTube video!
I really appreciate all of the positive interactions and kind words you've shared and I hope you'll join me again in my next video.

Speaking of which, I hope to release a new video every two weeks or so showcasing the UK's wonderful wildlife with maybe the occasional tech based video thrown in for fun. I never want to draw attention away from the wildlife but hey, we all love camera gear, don't we? I love exploring woodlands and the countryside and would love to take you along for the ride.

For now though, thank you again for taking the time to watch my first video.

Cheers!
