Formed in London in 1965, the Small Faces were the quintessential mod band. Though they existed for only four years, their rise to the top was meteoric. Releasing such classics as Tin Soldier, Itchycoo Park, All Or Nothing and Lazy Sunday they quickly evolved into one of the UK’s most successful psychedelic acts.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2012, the line-up consisted of Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Jimmy Winston and Kenney Jones. Their debut single What'cha Gonna Do About It came in 1965, their first album; Small Faces, came the following year as did new member Ian McLagan. They reached their career high in 1968 with the release of Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake which hit the top of the UK charts in May and stayed there for an astounding 6 weeks! Steve Marriott left the band at the end of 1968 to form Humble Pie, the remaining band members joining forces with Ronnie Wood and Rod Stewart to form The Faces.
