It seems like Mother’s Day is a bigger deal .There are two parents ,yes it takes two ,but mamma has two cary around a living baby !inside of her ! And this goes on .At first it’s fun ,novel people come around and rub your tummy .And then …it’s not fun anymore ….nine months!!! pregnancy through the summer ,with this heavy protruding belly, oy
So Mother’s Day is the day we reflect on how we can repay the mom who endured. What reparation could there possibly be ?So it all comes out on Mother’s Day ,the most traveled day of the year! then of course there are all those trials and tribulations that you yourself have caused the poor dear sweet,well maybe not that sweet ,but in hindsight that saint of a woman… that time that you did what? Or it said such and such? So here’s flowers ,dinner ,whatever your heart desires ,mommy dearest.
Father’s Day ,somehow different.
Sure dad worried and fretted

Father’s Day? ….Hmmm,
Father ,Dad,Him~ the beer the hamburgers ,the barbecue grill .The Father’s Day greeting cards never seemed to apply my dad ,Daddy as I always called my father.Peter, father of our children ,Nope.
Neither fit into the stereotypical image. However every Father’s Day we would get him a little something and he was allowed to take us to dinner. Anywhere he wanted to go ,as long as we all wanted to go there as well. He paid the bill and all was as it should be Happy Father’s Day,you brute😘

My Dear Ones,

I have only now learned that I am able to connect with you in this way and am so happy to say THANK YOU here for all the appreciation you show me as I gather and share these moments from my long career.

From the very beginning I have established a unique relationship and camaraderie with the people who seem to “get" me. In the process I have avoided the trap of losing heart and soul to the music business. One way I did this was to start the first independent record label owned by a woman, Neighborhood Records, in 1971. Long story, perhaps the greatest love story never told...

Well, some in the music business hit back. For decades I have not received compensation as the song writer and copyright owner of most of my own work and am now navigating my way forward.

There are so many projects I want to undertake and the love and support of my dear ones make it all possible.
