@ All Channel Members, thanks for joining the beta community, the discussions and polls over the past weeks we had within the community on how to bring the interests of our traditional viewers who like to enjoy our views from around the world together with our new viewers who like to discuss view on the world on YT chats.

In the next few hours we will implement your decision as follows:

LIVE CHAT. We will make the Youtube Live Chat available not only to community members, but to all loyal Subscribers. We will not censor the chat, but allow Youtube to do so and allow all viewers to report and block user and content offensive.

IMPROVING EARTHTV.COM. For everyone who does not feel comfortable watching our content on Youtube we will try to improve the service on www.earthtv.com. For the start our online players will no longer stop after 2 minutes, instead we will implement a confirmation viewers are still watching and are human beyond the average view time. Test this and let us know if it works where you are located e.g. here: www.earthtv.com/en/webcam/washington-white-house.

INDIVIDUAL CAMERAS ALSO ON YOUTUBE. In addition to ‘The World Live’ program streams we will also broadcast on Youtube live the three cameras most watched on www.earthtv.com (with live chat!). If you like to see and engage with any of our cameras individually on Youtube, send all your friends to the dedicated landing-page on www.earthtv.com/en/webcams to rank it to the top cameras with most views.

OPINION COMMENTS ON PLACES. We understand many of you like to use the Youtube comments to share opinions on the places, cities and countries where our cameras are located. To offer you a place to do so we will post regularly editor‘s-picks or time-lapses from individual camera locations with the comments feature enabled, but we will only confirm comments related to the question. Look out for the ‘How do you like..’ question.

SUPPORTER COMMUNITY. We will keep the Membership program open as Supporter community for those who really like to work with us on improving earthTV. We want to continue direct discussions with all Supporters, we want to decide with our Supporters on new locations to install earthTV cameras and on partner cameras to make it into our program etc.

We will continue to review all the above and over time hope to make even more people happy with what we do, thanks to all Members again for the contribution.
