Decades of Disorganized Music

Violent Femmes

We’re celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Violent Femmes’ self-titled debut with a special collection of reissues, including a limited LP box set! The album was originally released in 1983, just one year after the Femmes were founded. In the decades since, the album has more than solidified its status as an enduring cult classic.

Deluxe 2-CD and digital formats (out Dec 1) will feature newly remastered audio alongside more than a dozen demos, B-sides, and live performances, including alternate versions of favorites like “Blister in the Sun, Please Do Not Go,” and “Add It Up.” A limited edition LP box set (5,000 copies worldwide, out Feb 9, 2024) will include the deluxe edition pressed on 3 12” LPs, plus one 7” single featuring “Ugly”/”Gimme the Car.” Both the CD and LP formats come with an expansive book with new liner notes by David Fricke and interviews with Gordon Gano, Brian Ritchie, and Victor DeLorenzo.

All formats are available for pre-order now!
