I teach and conduct research in the Philosophy Department at the University of California, San Diego. These videos are lightly edited excerpts from my undergraduate courses, which meet in-person on the campus. Some of the videos are accompanied by slides, others are just an audio record of the discussion. Information about the texts being referred to will be added to the description of each video.

I wanted to make these videos available as a service to my colleagues, so that they may recommend or assign them to students in their own courses. They may be viewed either individually, or in the order of the original course.

Note that some courses contain material from two or more years, when the same topics were discussed with different students. This is usually indicated by specifying "version 1" or "version 2". Students wanting additional information on such topics may consult both videos.
