Josh,

This book is so good! It’s full of insight and laugh out loud moments and I have learned a ton from it (which, as a person who thinks about this stuff professionally, is almost embarrassing! I should know these things!) I think that it should be taught in every high school in America. Here’s a thing you can put on the back cover if you want!

Fame is changing. Because of the revolutions of social media, fame isn’t just for famous people anymore. We need to be having intelligent, thoughtful, deep discussions about it, and “Semi Famous” is exactly that. Except, also it is fun and irreverent and laugh-out-loud funny. This is the textbook of the class on fame that everyone should be taking in our bizarre new world.

This was the day I first met (in real life, at least) the incredibly talented Logan Marmino.

Early last year we began a worldwide search for the lead in the series I am helping write and produce inspired by my childhood. Logan had been following me for years, as it happens, and he first heard about the casting call from my Instagram. After a lengthy audition process we offered him the role.

Logan is obsessed with baseball. He holds multiple national records in adaptive track and field. He wants to be a surgeon when he grows up. And now this kid from New Jersey was also about to become an actor. We took this photo last September, the day after he moved to Los Angeles to film season one.

I am deeply honored to have Logan portraying a younger version of me in this series. We couldn’t have found a better Josh.

#BestFootForward comes to Apple TV+ one month from TODAY. I can’t wait for you to see the show—and to get to know Logan better.
