We understand that we have all fallen short of a covenant relationship with God because of sin (Rom 3:23) How do we get back into a relationship with God?

Just as the illustration of the prodigal son in Luke 15, we must choose to leave the place "outside our Father's house" and return back into the arms of The Father.

One thing we sometimes fail to understand is the fact that, although the bible was written FOR us, it was not written TO us. What I mean is the scriptures were written specifically to Ancient Israel during the geographical/time period known as the Ancient Near East. If we attempt to interpret scriptures in light of modern-day societies, scripture will seem confusing, contradicting, and cruel. But if we search the scriptures through the study of the culture that existed in Ancient Israel, then scripture truly comes alive in culture, context, and language in which it was written.
