Using what I call the “time travel trick,” these are the actual prices I paid for my last two new MacBooks. I used the exact same hack to get our Samsung Galaxy smartphones at a 70% discount — and each of my last two cameras (Nikon D5 and Nikon D4) for half price.

This trick has continued to work for over a decade, and I finally made it public in our latest blog post:

Finally got to cross Iceland off our bucket list! After driving the Ring Road around the ENTIRE country for 20 days, we definitely got our fair share of what to do and what not to do in Iceland.

Our latest blog post (and video!) will prepare you for all the things — good and bad — that caught us by surprise.

EVERY NATIONAL PARK IN ICELAND: ✅

Okay, so maybe going to three National Parks in a tiny island country isn't as impressive as the time we went to all 63 US National Parks, but still...we did it! Here's our official ranking...

3. Þingvellir National Park
2. Snæfellsjökull National Park
1. Vatnajökull National Park

We actually visited them in this exact order, so they just kept getting better as we went along.

After 3 weeks in Iceland, we're now on the way home, so watch out for detailed videos and new blog posts all about Iceland (including a complete expense report and all our money hacks) in the next few weeks! 🇮🇸

Trip Of A Lifestyle

We’re celebrating 10 years(?!) since our wedding day with a slice of traditional Icelandic Hjónabandssaela (“Happy Marriage Cake”). It sorta tastes like a Fig Newton stuffed with marshmallows. 😋

Our message with Trip Of A Lifestyle has always been that just about anybody can be successful with the same strategies we used to get rich, retire from our full-time jobs, and travel the world — and that's true.

But today, we're reminded that we also got super lucky. Our journey has been so much easier (and way more fun!) with a like-minded partner.

“Choose your spouse wisely” is definitely an underrated tip on the path to financial independence. 😅

Now it’s time to hop back on Þjóðvegur 1 (Iceland’s Ring Road) and start our next decade of adventures together. 🤵🏻👰🏻🌎

(The shot vs. the 'fit 😅)

The reason we came to Iceland was to experience this beautiful country. But the reason we came to Iceland IN NOVEMBER 🥶 was in hopes of seeing the Northern Lights.

This isn’t something you can just book a tour to see whenever you want. It requires patiently waiting — days, weeks, or even months — for the perfect geomagnetic storm to align with a clear sky.

Statistically, it's most likely to occur near Arctic latitudes, close to winter, in the middle of the night — in other words, the coldest possible conditions.

Each night since arriving in Iceland, we’ve checked the aurora forecast, stayed up late, and watched the skies.

Last night, we finally got an amazing show.

It’s funny how our most memorable experiences are rarely those we can pay for. 🌌

This summer, we christened our new camper van with a 1.5-month East Coast road trip from Florida all the way up through Canada’s Maritime provinces.

Our budget? Just $56 per day, per person. 🤑

Here’s how we ferried to islands across the sea, visited incredible National Parks, and crossed the last remaining Canadian provinces off our list for less than most people spend sitting at home…

PS - We’re a little late posting this, because we’ve already left for our next trip. Follow ‪@TripOfALifestyle‬ to come along for the ride as we take 3 weeks exploring Iceland — starting NOW! (Unfortunately, this one is def not gonna be as cheap though. 😅)

Trump frequently asks the crowds at his rallies, “Are you better off now than you were four years ago?” Each time, it’s met with a resounding “NO!” from the crowd.

It’s always a bit strange to hear because, for us, the answer has been unequivocally “YES.”

And when Biden asked the exact same question four years beforehand, our answer was “YES” then, too!

Frugality, consistent investing, and some hard work have made us richer in every political climate.

The results of our elections are important, and they can have a meaningful impact on both our pocketbooks and our personal lives, but contrary to popular belief, government policies are NOT the most important thing that determines your future.

Your actions are.

Regardless of who wins this next election, you can become wealthier, healthier, and happier if you put in the effort to improve yourself every day.

Focus on the things you can control, and ignore the rest. ✌️

Trip Of A Lifestyle

Our home in Florida is currently under "mandatory evacuation" orders in a flood zone by the ocean during Hurricane Milton.

In times like these, it's easy to pull your hair out watching news and weather reports all day — but past a certain point, it won't have any positive effect.

We did the commonsense stuff like putting out sandbags, raising valuables off the floor, and removing potential projectiles from our property — but in the next 48 hours, our house will either be underwater or it won't, and there's not much we can do about it.

That's why we're turning off the news, baking cookies, kicking back with a movie, and just havin' a good time.

If you want to worry less about things you can't control (like hurricanes!), check out this blog post, and stay safe, Florida. ✌️

This short interview with ‪@MarriageKidsandMoney‬ covered a lot of ground — including how to take months off work from ANY job, the complete contents of our investment portfolio, and the reason we started a business when we didn't really need additional income!
