Yuko began studying music at age 4 in her hometown of Fukui, Japan. Always fascinated by American R&B, Hip-Hop and Blues, she fell in love with Jazz and after high school began performing locally as a soloist, and with a local jazz trio.

In 2010 Yuko moved to Los Angeles to further her studies and was soon performing in some of the city's prime venues.

The Yuko has performed at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, as a guest of the National Cherry Blossom Japanese Jazz series in DC, the Walt Disney Hall (LA), the Atlanta Jazz Festival, the Monterey Jazz Festival, to name a few.

Yuko has recorded six albums: “Waves” (Vista 2011) “My Life” (Vista 2014) “The Yuko Mabuchi Trio” (Yarlung Records, 2017) “Tribute To Miles,” (Yarlung Records, 2019) “YUKO,” (Vista 2020) “The Caribbean Canvas” (Vista Records 2022) Mabuchi’s upcoming project,”QUANTUM” (SRG Jazz/Universal) is a harmony of Jazz Latin and Classical.
