My name is Nazar Shmatok , I'm 12 years old, and I've been playing hockey for 6 years.
Hockey is my passion and a significant part of my life. I'm a forward at Lausanne's hockey academy , I love scoring, creating attacks, combining with my teammates, and playing team hockey, which is integral to the Lausanne hockey club.
Along with several friends from Lausanne, I passed the selection, and in February 2025, I will represent Swiss Romand at the Pee-Wee tournament , the biggest and most famous children's ice hockey tournament, held annually in the birthplace of hockey, Quebec, Canada .
The best teams from Canada, the USA, Czech Republic, Sweden, Finland, and many other countries will compete against us, but we are determined to fight for victory and prove that not only Switzerland's top teams can perform and win, but also that Swiss youth hockey is at a high level. Since August, my teammates and I have already begun actively preparing for the upcoming tournament.
We have five months left to become faster, stronger, more cohesive, and I am confident that we will represent ourselves with honor in Canada.
Playing there, competing against the best teams, is a dream for any player, and I'm thrilled to have the honor of playing there with the Suisse Romande selection AA Elite .
The only difficulty for this trip is the budget, as a two-week trip to Canada for the tournament is an expensive endeavor.
I would be deeply grateful to anyone who could help me financially in realizing my dream.
