I'm still selling my TBR Card Game and I just hit 1k sales on my shop, but I've always wanted to do an advent calendar, and I made some absolutely beautiful bookmarks for it. It also comes with a 12 or 24 day scratch off activity and reading prompt list, which will make December really fun! I currently have the advent for 25% off this week and it will definitely come in time for December 1st. My bookmarks are printed on heavy card stock, laminated like my TBR cards, double sided, and have prints for all year long, including holidays. I can't believe my first baby is one. 😭🥺🥹 Today has been a whirlwind of emotions thinking about my entire journey I've gone through with Alice, from years of infertility, to going through multiple IVF transfers, giving up my homebirth because I was 2 weeks overdue, ending up with an induction and later a C-section, and then dealing with a tongue tie which caused us to give up nursing and instead exclusively pump.

When they say motherhood is hard, they mean it. It isn't because you don't love doing it, it's because you now have more than yourself to worry about, and you put yourself through hardships you never thought you could handle. I understand now when they say the days are long, but the years are short. This year of being a mom, has given me more anxiety than I've ever had in my life 🫠🙃 because I just want what's best for Alice, but I also have no clue what all the right answers are. It's crazy how much responsibility comes with being a mom, and making sure everyone stays alive every day 😂🤣. It's hard to appreciate all the moments during particularly challenging times of being a mom, but then it's so sad looking back at those moments and realize they flashed by in the blink of an eye, or that age/stage is gone for forever. 😭

Alice is the funniest and sweetest girl ever! She has really taken an interest in stuffed animals recently - she loves hugging them and carrying them around. She still absolutely loves books and reading (when she has favorites, we have to read them over and over and over 🤭🤪) and she really enjoys playing with her toys and adventuring out and about wherever mommy takes her. This past month she went to her first children's museum, and she loved that so much, we are going to get a yearly membership so she can enjoy going more often.

Alice knows 8 body parts (hair, head, eyes, piggies/feet, hands, belly, ears, nose), she can say Momma, Baby, Bye Bye, and Ohhh (like uh oh, for when something bad happens) and can sign More, Momma, Eat and All Done. She also knows the sounds for a Car/Truck, Elephant, Owl, Puppy, and Cow. She has been pointing to everything for months now, so she also loves communicating that way. She can clap, play peekaboo, blow a kiss, dance, wave, and smell on command, and she gives amazing hugs and kisses. She crawls with a silly sideways leg scoot (has never done hands and knees), can pull to stand, but has no interest in walking or standing without holding onto things.

She still enjoys drinking her milkies, but we are starting to work on eating regular meals and getting rid of milkies. She has slowly started to eat more, and her favorites are any meats and cheeses 😂. She takes after her Mommy and loves salty things like oysters, cottage cheese, and anything sour (pickles, lemons, sauerkraut). She has gotten really good with her pincher, picking up small pieces of food to eat herself, and if mommy preloads the fork, she can use it to feed herself too.

I'm just in awe at all the things she can do and understand already at 1 year old, and I'm so excited for all the years to come! That's one of the best parts of being a mom, is teaching Alice everything, and watching her learn and grow. 💙

Alice is 5 months old!
This little girl just keeps getting cuter by the day and her hair keeps growing too. 🤣

She officially can roll to her belly no problem but always wants help once she is stuck there. She LOVES playing with her feet now, and she can scoot on her back all over the room.

We haven't started feeding her any real food yet, since she can't sit unassisted and she doesn't open her mouth when we bring any food to her lips. We will be waiting until 6 months or longer, once she is more interested. She still is exclusively breastfed, and Mommy is celebrating 5 months exclusively pumping!

Alice is starting to understand certain phrases, and always holds her hands out for her bottle. She also laughs and smiles a ton, especially when Mommy is laughing at her. She loves the outside, whether it's swinging or taking a walk to town in the stroller, and she loves bouncing like crazy in her bouncer (which she now does by herself). Alice also enjoys reading books and definitely has favorites (usually involving animals/sounds).

Sleep has finally gone back to being great! She sleeps 11-12 hours a night, and now that she is awake longer during the day, we are starting to see long naps too! It was rough during the 4 month sleep regression 😵‍💫 but now she is sleeping like a champ in the nursery.

She is such a good girl and especially loves running errands and seeing things. Most strangers comment on her hair, and how alert she is!

I still can't believe how old she is, but I'm so excited for all the years she has to grow!

Alice is THREE months old!
She is growing up so fast and really developing a personality. She is working on her tummy time and loves playing with toys - especially crinkle books and books that are sing alongs.

She has started to show excitement when she sees her bottle, likes to hold/control her bottle (with help from mommy), asks to be held/picked up in the form of humming noises, enjoys running errands, walks, swimming, baths, and has major fomo. She wants to be part of the crowd at all times. 😂

Her hair keeps growing and soon I'll be able to do little pig tails for her! She gives big smiles anytime she knows she is being picked up and drools everywhere - especially when gnawing on her fist. 🙈 We have a Swiftie on our hands - she will calm down as soon as we put a song from Speak Now TV on and will even try to sing to it 🎶.

She is still doing really well drinking breastmilk but I think she is starting to get excited about her future solid foods in a couple months - she watches everything I put into my mouth. 😋 She still is a great sleeper, sleeping 10-12 hours every night and now weighs 11lbs 6oz.

I love seeing her grow and it's amazing to see her change from day to day. I can't wait for all the future years with her. 🤩

Happy ONE month to my beautiful baby girl (yesterday)!
Alice officially started giving us real smiles a week ago when my mom was visiting, and I can't believe I caught the cutest one on camera for this photo!

She is now sleeping 5-6 hour stretches at night, and absolutely loves bathtime. She is able to latch with the nipple shield, so I've been nursing her throughout the day, which I've been loving so much, but we do have plans to get her tongue tie lasered so we can work on better breastfeeding in the future.

Her newborn clothes I had to put away, since she is too long for them now, and she is gradually filling into her 0-3 month outfits. I can't believe how big she has gotten since her 1 week photo.

Alvin officially went back to work yesterday but Alice and I rocked the day together. 💙

Alice has exceeded her birthweight, and is now 7lbs 12oz (7.7 at birth, 6.15oz when discharged from the hospital) and grew an inch, all in 10 days! Mommy's milk must be extra nutritious. I have been exclusively pumping and feeding her breastmilk, and today I was able to freeze my first 4 oz bag!
