My wife and I have officially kicked off our journey to visit all the national parks in the U.S. (over the course of our lives), starting with the absolutely breathtaking landscapes of Acadia National Park in Maine. God’s handiwork is everywhere here—from the coastlines to the forests and stunning views of mountains and from the summit of Cadillac Mountain. I took some photos, and while I think they capture a glimpse of the beauty we encountered, they can’t fully convey the awe and gratitude we felt being surrounded by such creation.
Our visit to the park had Psalm 95:4-5 on my mind: “In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.” Standing on the true summit of Cadillac Mountain and gazing over Bar Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean, it was humbling to think about how God crafted every detail.
