Impetus, a release of energy, an initial spark that lights up the workings of a mind on the brink of impetuous emotion - the source of desire for musical expression. Where speech does not suffice to tell the inner tales of our lives music gives the opportunity to engage with them and make them heard. Here this is achieved by five bandmembers whose ambitions and influence create a sound that encompasses both familiar and unprecedented elements. Dark and light avenues are pursued by the use of driving riffs contrasted with melodic interplay, dreamy soundscapes.
