Liberia Sexual & Gender Violence Awareness Group
A confluence of like-minded Liberians (home and in the diaspora) alarmed at the escalation of sexual and gender-based violence in our beloved country. The group’s membership consists of professionals from several fields including individuals who have worked to promote gender equality and elimination of sexual and gender-based violence in Liberia and other parts of the world.
We believe that citizens must be aware of their basic human rights, hold their government’s feet to the fire and demand that taxpayers dollars be spent for the protection, education, welfare and safety of our men, women and children, who voices we must be until they understand that they have a voice and the right to use it. (And says HANDS OFF!!!!)
MISSION
Inspire, advocate, communicate, educate, establish partnerships and strengthen existing networks to promote gender equality, facilitate the sharing of information and tools to reduce SGBV, support victims and ensure perpetrators are held accountable.
