I have had my own band, Damon Wood's Harmonious Junk for 23 years, and played Guitar with James Brown (8 years), The JB's, Jimmie Van Zant Band (5 years), WhiteWater Ramble (5 years) and many others. I've been giving lessons the whole time because I truly enjoy sharing the gift of music.
Music is the best thing there is, in my eyes, so I can't get enough and I have too much of it in my head! I need to get some of it out sometimes to make way for new stuff, and doing these lessons helps me enjoy some of my favorite songs again and not only that, I have them all on video so I don't ever have to pull up any tabs again. :)
