Sakura Band is a Malaysian pop band from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Formed on the 1st October 2012, the band currently consists of four members; lead vocalist Melley Matius (Mell), 1st guitarist Ali Ezza Musavi (Ali), 2nd guitarist Muhammad Haniff Johari (Anip), and bassist Haikal Zainin (Akai).

To-date, the band has a total of 6 released singles. Their debut single, Setelah Hujan, was followed by a second single entitled ‘Pelarian’, featuring their mentor, Adi 6ixth Sense. This song became a stepping stone for them in the local music industry, gaining them a carta Muzik Muzik 29 nomination in 2014. From then, it was one milestone after another for the band; their third single, Melepaskanmu which was a mainstream success, and was played on high rotation on local radio, and became Sakuraband’s first single to make it through to the semi finals of Muzik Muzik 30 in 2015.
