1989年、リーダーである坂本慎太郎が“日本語のオリジナルロック”というコンセプトのもとに『ゆらゆら帝国』を結成。
日本のロック史を語るうえで外すことのできない名盤「空洞です」を始め、通算10枚のアルバムをリリース。
2010年3月31日正午、ゆらゆら帝国オフィシャルホームページにて、バンドを代表して坂本慎太郎による突然の解散発表。
約20年に渡る活動に終止符を打った。

In 1989, Shintaro Sakamoto formed "Yura Yura Teikoku" based on the concept of "Japanese original rock".
"Yura Yura Teikoku" has released 10 albums, including the famous album “Hollow Me / Beautiful” which is important to talk about Japanese rock history.
At noon on March 31, 2010, Shintaro Sakamoto announced a sudden "Yura Yura Teikoku" break-up on behalf of the band on the official website.
It has put an end to almost 20 years of activity.
