I have seen the Lord’s goodness, His mercies and compassion. Thank you Lord for a new door is opened unto me. Happy Birthday, Okechukwu Onya Dickson ( Okey Sokay )
"Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods."
Reflection:
The psalmist calls us to "shout to the Lord" in this psalm. This is a call to worship, to praise God for who He is and what He has done. It is a call to express our joy and gratitude to Him.
There are many reasons to shout to the Lord. He is the Creator of the universe, the sustainer of all life, and the source of all blessings. He is the one who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life.
When we shout to the Lord, we are acknowledging His greatness and majesty. We are expressing our love and adoration for Him. We are also declaring our faith in Him and our trust in His promises.
Shouting to the Lord is a powerful act of worship. It is a way to connect with Him on a deeper level and to experience His presence in our lives. It is also a way to encourage others and to build up the body of Christ.
Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Devotional:
In our journey of faith, we often encounter situations where we need guidance and direction. We face decisions, large and small, and we may feel uncertain about which path to take. During such times, it is essential to remember that we have a loving and faithful God who is willing to guide us.
The book of Proverbs offers us a beautiful reminder of how we should approach seeking God's guidance. It encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not rely solely on our own understanding. This means acknowledging that our human understanding is limited and that God's wisdom far surpasses ours.
Trusting in God's guidance requires us to submit our plans, desires, and decisions to Him. We surrender our will and seek His will in every aspect of our lives. It involves seeking His wisdom through prayer, studying His Word, and listening attentively to the Holy Spirit's leading within us.
Sometimes, God's guidance may not align with our own expectations or desires. But we can trust that His plans for us are good and that He knows what is best for our lives. As we submit to Him, He promises to make our paths straight. He will lead us along the right way, even in the midst of uncertainty.
Today, let us take a moment to reflect on our trust in God's guidance. Are we leaning on our own understanding, or are we submitting our ways to Him? Let's reaffirm our commitment to seek His wisdom and trust that He will lead us on the path He has prepared for us.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and love. Today, I choose to trust in your guidance with all my heart. Help me to surrender my plans and desires to you, seeking your wisdom in every decision I make. I acknowledge that your ways are higher than mine, and I trust that you will make my paths straight. In Jesus' name, amen.
