Safety and Privacy is the number one thing to remember when flying drones. NEVER fly in the path of an airplane and NEVER invade someone's privacy. DJI Neo. What is it? Well it is a cross between the DJI Spark, DJI Tello and zero zero Robotics Hover AIR X1. So essentially it is a VACATION DRONE! Yay! You get this tiny drone that runs on IDENTIFICATION AI. Toss it in the air and it tracks HUMANS and does all kinds of cool filming & photo taking. You don't even need to use your phone but you certainly can for extra features (and firmware updates). What is the flight time? I have no idea but an educated guess is gonna be WAY MORE than the HOVER AIR X1 which is only 10 mins. What is the camera resolution? Probably 12 megapixel for photos and 4K 30 for video. Range... It's not gonna be great without the remote because it is designed to fly near you & film/track you. With remote it is probably a low end connection so a couple of miles. Price... Hmmm, my guess is if you just get the drone, remote & one battery it will be over $200 US but under $300 US... A fly more version will possibly put you slightly over $300 US.

Again, just like with the AVATA 1, the AVATA 2 will fall out of MANUAL MODE at the most unexpected time. I was flying the AVATA 2 today, chasing RC Planes, and if I approached the ceiling I set, the AVATA 2 would drop out of MANUAL MODE, stop in the air and go into NORMAL MODE and would not go back into MANUAL MODE unless I reduced altitude (ceiling was 150 meters but it dropped out at 110 meters). This also happens if you enter a DJI designated RESTRICTED area, but I was not in one. It also drops out of MANUAL MODE if you fly on a GUSTY WINDY day which is the weirdest thing. So the bottom line is the AVATA 2 is definitely fun for beginners, but people who buy this to fly it like a PRO FPV drone pilot are gonna be severely disappointed. The Good News is that unlike the AVATA 1, it has so far not fallen out of the sky on me when flying in MANUAL MODE aggressively. Oh, and here is what DJI says about the issue: "This warning indicates that the aircraft is limited in height and distance. It may have entered the restricted flight zone, or there is no binding account."

The FIMI Drone company asked if I could pass on the following info. They have launched a limited edition FIMI X8SE Drone (the one you know well). They call it a limited edition because this model has a 15 KM range (9.5 Miles) and sells for $327 US. I have no further information other than they passed me their link (this is theirs, not mine).
