Hello Everybody👋 Firstly, I want to thank everyone for all of your comments and DM’s wishing me good luck 🍀 on my original surgery.🩺 I really appreciate all the support🙏 Now, I wanted to give all my new and seasoned subs a quick update.🧑💻I’m having complications with my surgery and I had to go back to the OR this morning. Currently, I’m home, in bed recovering where I will remain for the next few weeks.
🙋♀️What does this mean for the channel? Just that I won’t be posting videos for a little while. I was not expecting to take this much time off from my job or YouTube. But this is the boat I’m in right now 🤷♀️
In the mean time, I have some short form content in the queue that I will be posting on instagram🤳feel free to follow me there www.instagram.com/elle.grant_/ I will continue to post reels, polls, Q&A’s, and other short form content.
Hi everyone, This channel has been primarily a watch channel. Most of my subscribers watch for my wristwatch content. But as you know I also do other content like boots, bags, EDC etc. The thing is those subjects don't always resonate with the bulk of my audience and that's a problem with how YouTube promotes my videos. If less of my subscribers watch a video it doesn't get pushed out to a larger audience, and because most of my subs want watch content those other videos rarely do well. So, I have decided to make this channel a dedicated watch channel and I am moving all my other content to another channel where I talk about everything that isn't watches. So I thought we could do a Q&A. Since that’s a video I can do from my bed😅 I will probably film this Q&A on either July 20th or the 20st depending on how I'm feeling so you have until then to comment. Hello everyone, I just want to let you all know that Carlos from The Borealis Watch company has reached out to me personally and apologized. I won't go into all the details because that's between him and me but the gist of it was that he was acting with incomplete information about my interactions with Borealis in regard to the initial email exchange, and the way he explained it seemed believable to me. Regardless, he took full responsibility, communicated that he understood why I felt attacked and again apologized. Then he showed me the changes that are being made to the terms that his company will be asking for in future dealings with content creators, and I think they are good changes
Carlos did NOT in any way ask me to remove either of my videos or make any alterations to them, which I really appreciate because otherwise the apology would seem less genuine. Regardless, while I cannot in good faith remove the first video because I said I would leave it up till hell froze over (and I am a girl of my word), the contents of the second video are no longer relevant. I'm not being sued, I'm no longer being threatened with legal action, and the only reason to leave that video up would be for views. I don't want views that badly. So I am going to remove the second video after I post this note, and I will be pinning a permanent comment on the first video explaining that Borealis has changed their policies. Even though 95+% of the comments I have gotten have been supportive, I still have been paying attention to those of you who were less than happy about these videos. At this point, I don't want to do any more potential damage to Borealis and their employees or possibly other content creators caught in the crossfire as well. Remember everyone, just because someone did a Borealis review does NOT mean they agreed to those terms. I've never handled or been around a watch from Borealis so I cannot testify to their quality, but one of the constant refrains in the comments section is that they make pretty good watches for a fair price. I know that for some of you this episode has tarnished the brand but I do hope that some of you will be able to look past this and get back to just caring about the watches. I know I will. Elle Grant
Just to let everyone know I've unlisted the video I made about Design Atelier. I think Jayson is a decent guy who made a mistake but doesn't deserve scorn. I just had something to say, and now that I've made my point, I don't want to leave up something that is so negative about a fellow watch YouTuber. I encourage all of you to check out his channel. He's a knowledgeable guy who I have watched for awhile now. We're all in this hobby together.
To all my boot peeps, check out the channel @vintagefeatherr I think she does the social media for Grant Stone or something. She's definitely has her own unique sense of style, which I appreciate.
