Hi, this is Stav/Stavros, who you might know from my features/reviews/tests in countless UK and European tuning magazines for the last 15years+.
Dep Ed of Redline Magazine, and also regularly seen in Fast Car, Banzai, Japanese Performance, J-Tuner, etc.
I'm probably best known for my tech knowledge and testing, my tuning mythbusting, and the no BS way I talk about and do things- If I say it, I've likely been there, done it, and have the proof/facts/experience to back it up, and because of this people tend to trust and listen to me.
My channel is 200+ vids of the tuned car related madness I've got up to in the last 20odd.years, right up to today, and the current focus is mostly on my project cars, testing, tuning, and hooning!

We’re back! After a ridiculous petty person got YouTube to remove my F1 Turbo video, as I used 25sec of his own ancient video to explain what’s going on in mine, YouTube have now seen sense and reinstated it as it’s considered “Fair Use” by them to do that.
Biggest thanks goes to a YouTube employee who’s job it is to sort copyright stuff and explained Fair Use to me, and said that that video is perfectly acceptable in YouTubes opinion.
I’d have happily removed it and re-uploaded without that 25sec as wasn’t important and right near the end, but YouTube employee literally said no, you’ve done nothing wrong, leave it as is. So I have!

Doing some research on the (probably) Hart 415T turbo I accidentally bought as shown in the last video. And thanks to internet archive I found this advert for a supposedly unused 86 spec engine plus 3 turbos.
Tbf this pic makes me feel it’s even more likely it is what I think it is. 3 Holset turbos, all same fitment, but all noticeably differing specs on compressor and turbine side, which is what I said in the vid about they have lots for different tracks, for qualifying, etc.
Also, on at least the two visible, they have WORSE turbine wheels than mine. They have the conventional 12 blade design, mine is a freer flowing and way more unusual for an 80s Holset 11 blade setup.
I’m sure I’ll never know for sure, but finding this adds more credibility to what I talk about in the vid…

YouTube is a weird place, 3.7million videos are uploaded EVERY DAY, so 99% them barely get seen, no matter how good they are.
Great example is, if you got similar taste in music to me, or liked the Akala Fire In The Booth videos, is Man Like Bro, a local lad, best track I’ve heard in a while, GL5, and as of last night it had less than 100 views in a month.
Yet absolute shite can get millions in a week if people know it even exists.

As I absolutely, totally, suck at Maths, can someone confirm how you work out wheel rpm for any given engine speed?
Is it simply RPM divided by Gear ratio, then divided by Diff ratio?
So say, 6500rpm divided by 1.8 (ie a 1.8:1 gear) divided by 3.6 (ie a 3.6:1 diff)? So in that case, 1003rpm?
Even trying to read up on it online is hurting my head so I’ve learnt zero that way, and all online calcs are for road speed taking in to account wheels and tyres, but I don’t want that, I want rpm.

In the latest video, almost all of it was filmed on my GoPro as usual, BUT the footage of the engine being ran and revved was filmed with my iPhone.
Maybe it’s me but that footage looks SO much better than the GoPro one.
Same 1080 resolution on both, actually filmed at higher FPS with the GoPro, but defo not as sharp.
Might start just filming with the phone!
