Robert Haigh
I was a long standing figure in the Boston acoustic music scene as a folk & New Age radio show host on WERS, WUMB & WADN in the 80s & 90s. I produced a long running television series with Brad Paul (Rounder Records) as its host & I helped run the acclaimed Old Vienna Kaffeehaus where I hosted the Open Mic which helped to launch the careers of folks like Dar Williams, Ellis Paul, Lori McKenna, Vance Gilbert and many others. I played an early informal management role with Shawn Colvin, Greg Greenway, Dee Carstensen, Lori McKenna, Liz Longley & others. Later, I ran the Open Mic series at Tupelo Music Hall for 11 years. I was local Chair- Folk Alliance Conference held in Boston in '94.
Most of my career I've worked in local television. I was GM at WCAT in Wakefield, MA then went to LTC in Lowell as Exec Dir. Since 2007 I do design, sales, installation & training of AV facilities across New England for Access A/V in Concord, NH and currently with Key Code Media-New England.
