Laura Irons talks MS

I was diagnosed with RRMS 17 years ago, I went onto a blinded trial in 2009 (Lemtrada) I currently take no medication for my MS and since 2010 have preferred to use alternative ways to relieve pain or ease the symptoms of my MS - it seems to be working so far.

I share ways that help me to relieve my MS symptoms as well as updating you on my MS progress (possibly future progression) Much of my interest is about brain health.
Most of my experiences/knowledge comes from the professional help that I have received over the 14 years since being on my Lemtrada trial and I owe a great deal to my health care team at the Heath Hospital Cardiff.

All of the money raised from this channel will go to the MS Society. So I'd love you to subscribe so together we can help raise money for MS research

Just a quick post to say that the channel has raised another £80.00. However this month I wanted to donate the money to the MS-Selfie which provides valuable information for people with MS to help self-manage their MS. If you get a moment, please go and have a look at the great work Gavin and his team do for everyone with Multiple Sclerosis.

I hope everyone is keeping well. I am still waiting for my MRI brain and spinal scan, the last MRI I had was in March 2023. The hospital are also arranging an MRI of my left arm as its still very problematic. Date is yet TBC.
I've had several bouts of optic neuritis over the past few months so I'm trying to stay on top of things and prioritise my health and wellbeing. I hope to get back to posting videos soon. Stay well everyone 🧡.

Here's my MRI reports from 2016-2017. You will see that from 2017 the results start to change. I am now trying to obtain my last 3 years to see if there are any changes on the reports. I thought I'd post these for anyone that might be interested.

I will be posting a new short video tonight at 7.30pm (GMT) about optimising our brain health with MS.

More than half of people with MS will experience depression at some point in the illness.

Depression, which can occur at any time, is likely caused by a combination of inflammatory changes in the brain, immune system changes and the everyday challenges of life with MS.

The video tonight will be about Depression and how it can affect us. Post time - 19.30pm (BST)
