Albert Garzon
Began career in the early 1980s as Producer of Natalie Merchant and 10,000 Maniacs. Had Gold Record with "Hope Chest" (Elektra). Founded Community 3 Records in the mid 1980's and produced 35 albums for that imprint. Joined the Bindlestiff Family Circus in1997 as the Ragtime Piano Man and created volumes of circus music to accompany the acts. In 2003 reactivated the Lydia Thompson Troupe from the 1870's as "Ixion Burlesque" thereby adding Live Music, Group Choreography and Greek Mythology to the Burlesque scene in NYC. "Ixion, or the Man at the Wheel" was revived and produced on 42nd Street during the 2004/5 seasons. Performers whose careers were launched include: Natalie Merchant, Brenda Kahn, Molly Crabapple, Jos van Wissem, & Veronica Varlow. Also worked with: Alex Chilton, Todd Rundgren, GE Smith, Foreigner, Prince, Joe Franklin, Twink, Jayne County, Billy Name, Butch Vig, Lex Grey, Drew Barrymore, Nora Jones, Dirty Martini, World Famous *BOB*, Mary Ramsey, Sol Yaged - and more!
